on Sunday told CNN’s Jake Tapper that he would not be surprised if former President Barack Obama was wiretapping President Donald Trump.
The comments came as part of panel on the television program State of the Union on CNN as the panelists discussed President Trump's repeated claims, including late last week, that he was wiretapped by during the 2016 election.
Here is a transcript of the exchange:
DeMint: “President Obama politicized every agency. Nothing would surprise me. So I’m going to withhold judgment….”
Tapper: Do you think President Obama committed an impeachable offense?
