Three People Shot and Killed In Oak Lawn (updated 10:40 p.m.)

Dallas police are trying to catch the person who murdered three people Sunday morning.

It happened outside a nightclub at Maple and Hawthorne Avenues near the Dallas North Tollway.

"There's no words to put how hurt we are," Concepcion Alonso, the sister of one of the victim’s said. Alonso said her brother 27-year-old Francisco Martinez was out with his girlfriend Claudia Valderas and another friend Saturday night.

Dallas police say shortly before 5:00 a.m. Sunday, they responded to a call at the intersection Maple and Hawthorne avenues when they arrived they found all three shot and killed.

Rigoberto Vazquez Hernandez, 45, turned himself in to police Sunday.

Police said in an arrest warrant affidavit that Hernandez fatally shot Francisco Martinez, 27, Claudia Balderas, 22, and an unknown man.

In surveillance video, Hernandez was seen getting involved in a fight between Balderas and an unknown woman, according to the affidavit. The fight escalated, and a witness became involved in the scuffle as well. The unidentified man made contact with the witness, and then Hernandez “displayed a handgun and walked up to the unknown latin male complainant and shot him,” the affidavit says.

Then, Hernandez shot Martinez, police said. After that, Hernandez separated Balderas from the unknown female and shot Balderas, according to the affidavit.

The witness identified Hernandez as the shooter based on a still photo. Hernandez’s address is less than a mile away from the club.

Hernandez is at Dallas County Jail and will face a capital murder charge.[/font]
