White Man Runs As Black Man in Houston, And Wins

Houston Conservative Republican Dave Wilson is under fire for running for his seat on The Houston Community College Board after winning a close election over incumbent Bruce Austin. Wilson, a white man, campaigned by sending literature to residents that featured no pictures of Wilson, but rather, lots of pictures of African-Americans designed to look as if they approved of Wilson. The Republican won by 26 votes, prompting some in the black community in Houston to say that he won by misrepresenting himself as black.
