Mayor Julián Castro gets immigration debate challenge from state Sen. Dan Patrick in Twitter spat

SAN ANTONIO — Your move, mayor.

A Twitter spat between Mayor Julián Castro and state Sen. Dan Patrick, a Republican candidate for lieutenant governor, over immigration has led to an immigration debate challenge from Patrick that has, so far, gone unanswered by Castro see comment.

“Congratulations @danpatrick. You are the most anti-immigrant Republican running for statewide office. You are the Pete Wilson of Texas” Castro tweeted Tuesday night, which started the Twitter spat.

Patrick, R-Houston, responded Wednesday by saying, “talk is cheap mayor, if you want to debate this in San Antonio, tell me when and I'll be there.”

Patrick then added that he is “proud to wear the badge of securing our border (because) your buddy (President Barack) Obama created this illegal invasion.”

And all he has going for him is his loud mouth. We are supposed to respect others religions but he made an a$$ of himself when the day came for a Muslim prayer in the statehouse. I don't like him as my representative, never voted for him and would not vote for him ever. It would be write in time if he was my only choice.
