Aggies will sport nation's largest scoreboard

COLLEGE STATION _ Texas A&M officials met with the media Tuesday to present an update of the extensive renovations of Kyle Field.

Not only will the refurbished Kyle Field be the largest in the state, officials said it also will feature the largest scoreboard in the country situated in a stadium dedicated exclusively to college football.

The scoreboard will be 47 feet tall and 163 feet wide and will be finished by A&M's first home game, Sept. 6.

The University of Texas has the largest collegiate scoreboard in the country. It's 134 by 55 feet for a square footage total of 7,370. A&M's scoreboard has a square footage of 7,661.
