Dan Patrick calls out Castro again on debate, this time from Alamo

SAN ANTONIO — State Sen. Dan Patrick has been called a lot of things, but inconsistent is not one of them.

The Republican lieutenant governor candidate posted a video of himself outside the Alamo on Monday in which he said he cares more about the citizens of San Antonio than Mayor Julian Castro and that the mayor is on the “wrong side” of the immigration issue.

Patrick is appearing in San Antonio on Tuesday with state Sen. Donna Campbell, R-New Braunfels, in a luncheon for the San Antonio Christian Chamber of Commerce.

“Mayor, I care more about the citizens of this state and this city than I think you do,” Patrick said in his video in front of the Alamo. “And the fact is you don't really want to have a discussion on this issue because you know you're on the wrong side of it.”
