4 referendums on the Texas Democratic primary ballot

So we're just days away from the primary on March 4 and I don't know much at all about the different Democrats on the ballot. Can't find much in the way of a Voting Guide. Hadn't heard a word about Alameel until he started running ads last week. Maybe I'm just out of the loop.

Didn't know about these referendums either, but it's not like you have to make much of a choice here...

Democratic Referendums:
IMMIGRATION REFORM
The United States Congress must pass immigration reform; including an earned path to citizenship for those individuals contributing to the economy and the dependents of those individuals

A LIVING WAGE FOR ALL TEXANS
Congress should pass legislation raising the federal minimum wage to at least 110% of the federal poverty level for a family of four without exception

MEDICAID EXPANSION
The Governor and the Texas Legislature should accept federal funds; as provided in the Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act of 2010; for the expansion of Medicaid to provide coverage to millions of uninsured and underinsured Texans.

NON-DISCRIMINATION LEGISLATION
The Congress and the Texas Legislature should adopt legislation that expands protections against discriminations in employment; housing; and public accommodations based upon sexual orientation and gender identity

I am glad too. I voted today and that was the first I saw of them.

Q: If they pass what is going to happen with them?

...but the fact that several candidates did not respond ("in time&quot to get their views published in the Voters Guide makes it less than complete.

I had found this link - http://www.politics1.com/tx.htm - but all it does is provide links to candidates websites, which can be ... rather one-sided.

It doesn't take long to realize that most of the Republicans running are fucking nuts. A few of the Dems are also "out there", like Kesha Rogers, Dem for US Senator. There are still so many racists and bigots and Bible-thumping brain-dead assholes in this country, we are a long, long way away from a (more) perfect union.
