Today, Funny or Die released video of President Obama's appearance with comedian Zach Galifianakis. The appearance, which was part of Galifianakis's fictional interview show "Between Two Ferns" was intended to promote the Healthcare.gov website and encourage young people to sign up for health coverage.
The video has already gone viral. It has been viewed over 3 million times, and the Obama administration is reporting that the Funny or Die video is currently the top source of referrals to Healthcare.gov.
Texas Congressman Randy Weber (R-Pearland) failed to see the humor in the situation, however. Weber, who has a history of over-the-top Twitter commentary against the President, used the video Funny or Die video to speak out against the President once again.
Among Weber's criticisms this time were that President Obama "should be focusing on finding answers re: #Benghazi," and that he "should be working on fixing his failed takeover of health care," instead of reaching out to young people to help them get affordable health insurance.
