Woman Pays off Court Fine With Counterfeit Cash

CORPUS CHRISTI - Tawanya Rabb, 26, is accused of trying to pay off a Corpus Christi municipal court fine using counterfeit $20 bills today.

The clerk at the court window reportedly accepted the cash even though she could obviously tell the money was fake.

As Rabb was still at the window she was taken into custody for forgery. She was also charged for the outstanding municipal court warrant.

If convicted, Rabb faces up to 2 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
