Ohio collie to be Texas A&M's Reveille IX

Texas A&M University announced the selection of Reveille IX Tuesday after seven months of searching.

The 16-month-old collie from Chargin Falls, Ohio, named “Twix” will take over for Reveille VIII May 9 following the Corps of Cadets Final Review. Tom Reber, interim vice interim vice president for student affairs, chaired the Reveille IX 12-person search committee and commended breeders Marcy and Mike Fine for choosing the next First Lady of Aggieland from their kennel.

“I could not be more pleased that owners Mike and Marcy Fine provided Texas A&M University with their beloved dog Twix to serve as Reveille IX,” Reber said in a university press release. “They were very helpful in providing us information throughout the search process and were confident that Twix would be an excellent Aggie.”

The search committee recommended Twix to be Reveille IX out of a field of four finalists and Interim President Mark Hussey, who appointed the committee, concurred.
