A federal appeals court Friday tossed out a lawsuit, filed by a leading Texas conservative and Republican donor from Houston, that sought to overturn President Barack Obamas signature health care reform law.
Dr. Steven Hotze, founder of the Conservative Republicans of Texas, announced the lawsuit against the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act during a 2013 news conference at the Texas Capitol while surrounded by almost 30 Republican legislators. The lawsuit became a centerpiece for Hotzes fundraising efforts for the organization.
A Houston federal district judge, however, ruled in favor of the Obama administration, rejecting Hotzes argument that the Affordable Care Act violated the Constitutions origination clause, which requires revenue-raising bills to originate in the U.S. House.
Hotze appealed, leading to Fridays decision by the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which said the lower court should not have ruled on Hotzes lawsuit because he could not show that he had been injured by the law and therefore lacked standing to sue.

I guess it's just not enough to these cruel, heartless monsters that they're killing thousands of Texans every year by denying the Medicaid expansion.
"In Texas, the largest state opting out of Medicaid expansion, 2,013,025 people who would otherwise have been insured will remain uninsured due to the opt-out decision. We estimate that Medicaid expansion in that state would have resulted in 184,192 fewer depression diagnoses, 62,610 fewer individuals suffering catastrophic medical expenditures, and between 1,840 and 3,035 fewer deaths."
