Texas grand jury declines to indict veterinarian who killed cat with arrow

BELLVILLE, Texas — A Texas grand jury has declined to indict a veterinarian who bragged on social media about killing a cat with an arrow.

The Austin County district attorney’s office said in a statement Wednesday there was insufficient proof to indict Dr. Kristen Lindsey for animal cruelty.

The statement says investigators received an unconfirmed report that Lindsey may have believed the cat was rabid and shot it to protect her animals.

A picture on Facebook that was later removed showed her holding the cat by the arrow shaft.

Which is good and more important then sitting in a concrete jail cell. She can't be near animals for a job which is great.

Now I am back to wishing they had filed charges just for the added punishment and perhaps losing the license eventually if found guilty with no jail time. It may be hard to find a job but not 100 percent in the animal field. I want the license gone more then anything else.
