Orange flags mark the path a pickup truck took as it crashed into a South Lubbock home Wednesday night.
Two Lubbock families are suing a man accused by police of being intoxicated last week when his truck crashed into a South Lubbock house.
The driver of the truck, Michael Wayne McKay, was arrested on charges of intoxication assault, police said after the crash June 17.
The gray 2012 Nissan Frontier pickup was driving south on University Avenue when the vehicle rear-ended a white 2008 Ford 500 passenger car with four occupants in the 9200 block of University Avenue, according to a statement from police.
McKay, 31, remains in the Lubbock County Detention Center. His bail is set at $50,000.
