Carthage man gets 318 years in child sex assaults
A Carthage man was sen tenced to 318 years in prison Thursday after pleading guilty to child sex assault charges.
Leldon Owen Momon II, 20, admitted to six charges of ag gravated sexual assault of a child and six charges of sexual assault of a child, according to the Panola County District Attorney’s Office.
He received 33 years in prison for each count of aggravated sexual assault and 20 years for each count of sexual assault, officials said.
“The police department did an outstanding job of putting together a great case,” District Attorney Danny Buck Davidson said in a statement. “Their good work has helped to remove a sexual predator from our streets.”
