Amarillo anti-gay preacher's victory claim against City of Fort Worth is premature
The leader of Repent Amarillo is claiming victory in a federal lawsuit alleging that his civil rights were violated at a gay pride festival in Fort Worth.
But attorneys involved in the case say otherwise.
David Grisham said on July 2 he and his attorneys met with the city attorney of Fort Worth and other attorneys where a settlement in his favor was agreed upon.
We reached whats called an agreed upon judgment, Grisham said.

Grisham and Repent Amarillo have garnered headlines in the past for their tactics, including his failed attempt to burn the Quran during the 2010 anniversary of the 9-11 attacks, and he and his groups videoing and protesting outside strip clubs, gay bars and sexually-oriented businesses.
Grisham ran for mayor of Amarillo in 2011 but garnered only 1 percent of the votes.
