More warrants issued for former Maypearl police chief
Former Maypearl Police Chief Kevin Coffey
CLEBURNE -- Johnson County officials issued two new arrest warrants for the former Maypearl police chief who is in jail on several child sex charges.
Kevin Coffey, 49, was arrested last month on counts of child sexual assault and indecency with a child. He is accused of having a sexual relationship with two teenage girls.
On Friday, Johnson County deputies charged him with sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by contact outside of their jurisdiction.
Coffey’s bail is now $650,000.
