Ken Paxton hires 2 longtime lawyers

Complying with a court-ordered deadline, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton on Thursday named the legal team that will defend him against charges that he violated state securities laws in business dealings in 2011 and 2012.

Terri Moore of Fort Worth spent 18 years as a prosecutor, twice ran for office as a Democrat.

1. Are Paxton's lawyers going to receive indigent wages?

2. Paxton, a government employee and due to the nature of his elected position; is sworn to uphold the law as established by the government. It's curious to find the following statement from his lead attorney's website:

"He has fought for clients and beaten the government in some of their most important cases both across Texas and across the country." - Cogdell Law Firm

So Paxton is out to 'beat the government'... how ironic.
