What to expect when Rick Perry’s case goes to appeals court Wednesday

Former Gov. Rick Perry’s fight to dismiss the criminal case against him will be heard by the state’s top criminal court Wednesday morning.

More than 15 months of legal wrangling will be compressed into two hours of oral arguments beginning at 9 a.m. in the Court of Criminal Appeals’ Austin courtroom, and the result will go a long way toward determining whether Perry faces trial on allegations that he abused his power as governor.
