In Houston, you can go anywhere in the city if you vote early. If you wait you have to go to your precinct.

(3,765 posts)Is not as bad as it used to be. Felons can vote after they are no longer on parole. You can vote in jail if you are there for a misdemeanor.
At least we're not Florida

(16,286 posts)Why wouldnt the most white, red neck American who fought in a foreign war, for instance, not be willing to die to protect a Black person's vote, isnt that why they risked their lives in the first place?
Either they believe in Democracy for all, or not.

(I used to think that DU was a place full of well-informed people who wouldn't yield to prejudices about any region of the country. I haven't thought that for some time now.)
