This has been swept under the rug with the primaries, etc., but it's been a few days over here. The creek near my house crested (finally) last night, and then the storms came in again. School district is still closed with one of the high schools suffering major damage. Anyway, here are some pictures...



I won't post the one of the horses because it is heartbreaking.

The water has breached my backdoor, and we are elevated. I feel horrible for people who had begun the cleanup efforts yesterday.

but I'm on higher ground so I managed to stay dry. There was one section of town that had to evacuate and was flooded. The Colorado River rose about 4 feet higher than in the flood last year and the newspaper said that it was the fourth highest that the river had ever reached since they started keeping records.
