Three projects could transform North Texas, but DART shrouds them in confusion
Dallas Area Rapid Transit wants to expand downtown's streetcar network, add a second light-rail route called D2 through the central business district and bring rail service to the east-west Cotton Belt corridor through northern suburbs -- and it's tackling all three ideas at once.
The projects promise to change how North Texans move around the region -- and how the long-fought resurgence of Dallas' urban core takes shape in coming decades.
