Waco-based meat company recalls 74,000 pounds of meat due to E. coli risk

Before preparing dinner tonight, you'll want to check the label on any recently purchased beef packages.

Waco-based H&B Packing Co., Inc. on Sunday issued a recall of roughly 74,000 pounds of beef after determining that a sample of it tested positive for E. coli.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service said that more than 35 tons of boneless beef pose a danger to the public. Consumers are urged to return the products or dispose of them.

Products included in this recall have the case code No. 69029, production date of March 6, 2017 and USDA mark of inspection "EST.M13054."
