Father of Texas State student dragged to death accuses 14 people, groups in $10 million suit
The father of the 20-year-old Texas State student dragged by a bus at a fraternity party at a river has sued 14 entities for their role in her death, a lawsuit obtained by mySA.com shows.
The body of 20-year-old Jordin Taylor, a respiratory care freshman at Texas State, was found Oct. 29, 2016, at least 12 hours after being dragged 500 feet by a bus with mechanical issues near Cool River Ranch, a music and tubing venue used the night before by four Texas State fraternities Delta Tau Delta, Kappa Alpha Order, Pi Kappa Alpha and Alpha Tau Omega.
Guadalupe County Sheriff Arnold Zwicke said Taylors cause of death was consistent with being struck and dragged by the bus and appears to be an accident.
Freddie Taylor, Jordin Taylor's father, filed a lawsuit March 21 in Hays County.
