The Republicans' New Immigration Bill: Will Texas Dems Stay Self-Defeating

The Republicans' new immigration bill seeks to cut LEGAL immigration by half and cut back on the categories of family members legal immigrants could bring into the country. Will this years Democratic senatorial candidate swing hard against the Republicans' proposal, or will he or she make an all-too-typical whiffle-ball response?

This latest proposal seems to tailor-made for Democrats to disrupt the Republicans' close ties with Texas business and put the lie to the Republicans' purported "pro-family" claims.

A nicey-nicey, Kumbaya, no examples, we-aren't-mad-at-anybody approach by Texas Democrats would be a marvelous approach that would allow Republican Ted "Calgary Kid" Cruz coast to an easy re-election victory.
