Houston is being considered as site for 2020 Democratic National Convention

This would be great https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/elections/eager-democrats-2020-prep-dnc-eyes-convention-cities-debates-rule-n872841

The Democratic National Committee sent requests for proposals to eight cities last month that expressed interest in hosting the event.

The cities are: Atlanta; Denver; Houston; New York; San Francisco; Milwaukee; Miami Beach; and Birmingham.

and the only thing that I can say is that Houston is very hot and humid in August. It also doesn't help that public transportation is somewhat lacking.

The favorites I see in the list based upon size of city, cost to delegates and DNC, time zone for largest viewing audience, transportation are Atlanta, Houston, New York and Miami Beach. Georgia and Florida are the most likely swing states in 2020 so that puts Atlanta and Miami Beach into the lead. I'm leaning towards Atlanta because of the factors mentioned and for other variables such as possibly honoring Jimmy Carter and going to a city with a large minority population that represents the base of the Democratic Party.
