U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz warns: Democrats 'hate the president and they're coming for Texas'

SAN ANTONIO -- Republican U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz is warning Texas Republicans that they need to work together in November.

Or they'll face the consequences.

"The hard left is angry," Cruz told thousands of Republicans gathered Saturday for their biennial state convention. "They're energized. They hate the president and they're coming for Texas."

And if Democrats are successful in claiming new congressional seats this year, change will be swift in Washington, D.C., Cruz predicted.

"This election is a battle for the direction of this country," he said. "The day that Speaker Pelosi is sworn in is the day that impeachment proceedings begin.

need to be held accountable in Nov. for what they're backing happening now to these children at the border. Their inaction to stop this inhumane policy they started is dangerously the same as what happened in Germany, and they're allowing these children to be permanently damaged from what they are doing to them. Both Cruz and Cornyn need to be voted out of office for allowing this to continue . If not what is that saying about this country, its ok to use cruel and brutal tactics to hurt them with is ok? This is little children here people being psychologically tortured , and this is totally unacceptable. These Senators need to be replaced for people that are humane because these Senators are not. The US Reps not working against this, republicans also need to be voted out of office for this also in Nov. , but especially those two Senators for their not demanding this stop. This is a form of child abuse from trump and these republicans, not what trump claimed , he did nothing but lie because that's what cowards do, lie and blame others. Some stories starting to come out are unbelievably bad about what they're doing. Maybe that's why they're keeping other Senators and Reps from entering facilities for inspections on how they're doing.

So defend this family separation policy if you can, scumbag. If you don’t stand up to Donald over this, you’re just as bad and responsible. But I see you’re not concerned about the children, just your own sorry ass.

If any party has overtaken Texas, it would be the GOP who have had near-complete control for three decades, more recently aided and abetted by voter suppression and heavy-handed gerrymandering. That's long enough for Texas voters to figure out that it's time for a change. Again, courtesy of voters who happen to be constituents of Ted Cruz.

What ELSE he said? Ted Cruz has just positioned himself as one of Orange Julius’ supporters, and by default he’s said he supports Donnie’s policies. Since I did’nt hear words of condemnation concerning Donnie’s ugly family separation policies, it looks like he’s supporting that, too, by default.

I hope Texas Democrats and progressives can pick that up and play rough instead of playing yet another round of namby-pamby whiffleball.
