Key employee resigns publicly from Meals on Wheels East Texas
A key employee with Meals on Wheels East Texas resigned Wednesday in a very public way, sending an email to news organizations across the region.
Amber Johnson, the chief administrative officer of the organization, wrote a letter saying she was resigning due to disagreement with the organization’s leadership.
Johnson had worked at the organization since January, handling human resources, information technology, finance, administration and program management.
Meals on Wheels serves hot meals to homebound seniors and people with disabilities in East Texas, including Smith, Gregg and several surrounding counties.
