If Texas process has them as received or on Election Day? I'm trying to decide whether to carry mine in or vote in person.

(13,556 posts)check on-line with your county to see if yours is in the queue. (I have done this. We dropped ours off at the elections office and a couple of days later I checked and it says that they have received our ballots.)
NOW. They aren't opened and counted until the last day of early voting. If they all get counted (and I assume it depends on the number they have to count and the number of people they have been able to hire to do the counting) by Nov. 3 the results will be released at the close of the polls election day.

(1,646 posts)And I wasn't having any luck finding the information by Googling. I'd prefer to vote in person, but I don't trust those machines. Just like I don't trust the mail for my ballot.

After you do the touch screen selection and the machine prints your ballot, the memory is cleared for the next ballot and you scan your ballot. The scanner and the paper ballots are returned to the county elections office for tallying.
