check on-line with your county to see if yours is in the queue. (I have done this. We dropped ours off at the elections office and a couple of days later I checked and it says that they have received our ballots.)

NOW. They aren't opened and counted until the last day of early voting. If they all get counted (and I assume it depends on the number they have to count and the number of people they have been able to hire to do the counting) by Nov. 3 the results will be released at the close of the polls election day.

And I wasn't having any luck finding the information by Googling. I'd prefer to vote in person, but I don't trust those machines. Just like I don't trust the mail for my ballot.

They are also not linked to any internet links

After you do the touch screen selection and the machine prints your ballot, the memory is cleared for the next ballot and you scan your ballot. The scanner and the paper ballots are returned to the county elections office for tallying.

I've been protesting what I call the paperless wonders since they were foisted on us.HAVA was a scam. We have new machines in Fort Bend and I do think they have paper, but I'm not sure of the details of how they work.
