ExxonMobil employees picket corporate headquarters
Members of the USW Local 13-243 in Beaumont on Wednesday morning met with other regional and international union member, including from the local representing ExxonMobil’s Baytown refinery, outside the company’s Irving, Texas headquarters during the company's annual shareholder’s meeting.
The demonstration comes as the union continues to ratchet up pressure against the company — first the lockout and demonstrations and then the addition of nighttime demonstrations using a projector to display messages on the refinery itself — and the company releases increasingly-detailed messages and videos breaking down their specific goals for a long-term contract.
