I dunno what kind of Sunday night you're having, but The Post is livestreaming the TX House take up major voting legislation. Tune in as Dems try to block it with standing filibusters and points of order between now and the Lege's midnight (CDT) deadline:

Texas Democrats abandon House floor in attempt to block voting bill

In a last ditch attempt to block a sweeping GOP voting bill, all Democrats walked off the House floor Sunday night, trying to prevent a vote on the legislation before a fatal deadline.

Just minutes ago, I watched the Lt gov. complain about it in the Senate being the House’s fault for it dying - that they took two days off and ran out of time to do their work. I’ll give him credit for saying he didn’t blame the other side for walking out.

Well, dan, the big stinker maneuvers they pulled yesterday in the Tx Senate (forced late night debate over the resolution and early morning passage) certainly didn’t help motivate any House Dems left out of the process to stick around for an aggressively ill-conceived, immoral, and racist bill.
