Far-Right Republicans Re-Write The "Southern Manifesto," Call It A Contract

The Conservative Coup: Rewriting the rules of Texan democracy.

Today, 13 far-right Republicans (8 who haven’t even been elected yet) published a document, which they are calling “Contract With Texas.” However, the “contract” is an anti-democratic blueprint that will reform the Texas House to completely silence the minority party (Democrats) and silence the voices of millions of Texans.

The contract isn’t only a statement of intent. It’s an assertion of “Conservative values” and aims to consolidate Republican power in the House and significantly reshape the legislative process. This so-called “contract” will sideline voices, diminish bipartisan cooperation, and advance ideology that conflicts with Texas’s changing demographics.

Here is the “Contract With Texas:”

their version of the punishment of Democrats, Independents, and others just for being what they are. The republicans also have a document called 2025, for when tRUMP is back in office again, which is chock-full of idiotic things, from what I'm hearing.

So, now we have TX republicans doing the same thing. Probably borrowed a lot of things from the 2025 report, I didn't bother to read it, both of these documents, since knowing how republicans are and act, it's not worth reading (full of rants and untruths I'm sure), and we Democrats and others might as well as lining up to be thrown into jail. This is how I feel when they (repubilcans) rant and rave.

Instead, I'll use the papers to start my next fire in the fireplace.

This “manifesto” is taking dead aim at those Republicans who voted down school vouchers and voted for Ken Paxton’s impeachment.

Just more political posturing.

Did a random check on these folks. The elected ones voted against Ken Paxton impeachment.

The Texas troika Abbott, Paxton and Patrick gunning for Dade Phelan.
