Ex-hand surgeon Michael Brown released from jail
Former hand surgeon Michael Brown was released from jail after he complied with part of the court orders imposed by a district judge during his divorce battle with his fourth wife, his attorney said.
Brown was released from jail Thursday. His jail review, planned for April 4 was moved up, and State District Judge Sheri Dean decided he had complied with parts of the court order he had violated that were of immediate concern to her, said Brown's attorney John Nichols.
Brown spent a total of 25 days in jail, where his attorneys claimed he contracted E. coli. Officials said there was not an E. coli break out at the Harris County Jail during Brown's stay.
Brown's attorneys attempted to release him during a hearing on March 25, but Dean denied the request because she said he had not made adequate attempts to obey her orders.
