UTSA to visit Texas A&M’s Kyle Field in 2016, ’19

COLLEGE STATION – UTSA has added a Southeastern Conference opponent to its future football nonconference lineup – one about three hours from San Antonio, a town loaded with Aggies.

The Roadrunners will visit Texas A&M in 2016 and 2019, both years in November, according to a release from A&M. The first meeting will occur on Nov. 12 and three years later the programs will meet on Nov. 2.

UTSA has only played football since 2011 under coach Larry Coker, so the game in three years at Kyle Field will mark the first meeting between the programs. A&M has aimed to bolster its nonconference schedule with in-state foes after leaving the Big 12 – and longtime league opponents Texas, Baylor and Texas Tech – for the SEC a year ago.

Meanwhile A&M opens this season on Aug. 31 against Rice at Kyle Field, while UTSA plays at New Mexico the same day.

You'd think that UT Austin and the Big 12 would have something to say about this. El Supremo Jun 2013 #1

An interesting remark in the comments is that when they played Trinity a few years ago A&M only won by two TDs. Trinity is a Division III school with non-scholarship athletes.
