How to vote in Fairfax County's Special Election?

FAIRFAX, Va. — Voters in Fairfax County’s Braddock District will choose a new representative on the Board of Supervisors on Dec. 9, following Democrat James Walkinshaw’s election to Congress earlier this fall.

Walkinshaw, first elected to the Braddock District seat in 2019, won the September special election to replace the late Rep. Gerry Connolly in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Democrat Rachna Sizemore Heizer, Chair of the Fairfax County School Board and Republican Ken Balbuena, a longtime community leader and former PTA president, are competing to be his replacement.

Only voters registered in the Braddock District are eligible to vote in this special election. Use the lookup tool to confirm your district.
