Head down to the Tidal Basin tomorrow for a lunch break and look up for a free airshow. ... The Canadian Armed Forces Snowbirds air demonstration team will be making two passes over Southwest around noon, before heading out to Dulles for more airborne theatrics.
"The flyover highlights the bond between Canada and the United States and the ongoing preparations for celebrations to mark Canadas 150th anniversary in 2017," the Snowbirds said in a release.
East Potomac Park, Gravelly Point, and most places in Southwest should also provide for a good view of the D.C. flyover. And while there won't be any official public viewing points at Dulles, MWAA recommends heading up to the "top of Parking Garage #1 looking south toward Runway 1R/19L." The flyover isn't expected to impact flights.
....
Here's the path the Snowbirds plan to take tomorrow. In the event of (more) inclement weather, the flyover will be pushed back to Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.
