"I know nothing. Nothing!"
By Rosalind S. Helderman, Published: July 3
Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli IIs staff purposely shielded him from allegations of improper behavior by Gov. Robert F. McDonnell for five months last year, knowing the attorney general was friendly with a key donor at the center of those accusations, according to new information released by Cuccinellis gubernatorial campaign.
....
Cuccinelli was not fully briefed about charges related to Williams, including a federal securities investigation into Star Scientific, until two meetings in late September and early October, they said.
That would mean that Cuccinelli was unaware of widening probes into Williams and Star in mid-summer 2012, when he sold 1,500 shares of stock in Williamss company at a profit. ... He also would have known nothing of the case in June, when he stayed at Williamss vacation home at Smith Mountain Lake, one of several trips Cuccinelli made there with his family.
The new timeline was released by the campaign in response to a detailed list of questions about Cuccinellis involvement with Star Scientific submitted by The Washington Post several weeks ago.

(16,079 posts)1. Just what we need in Virginia!
A governor that won't know anything except what his advisor's and staff want him to! It also shows that Cooch is as dumb as a bag of hammers!
He didn't see that one coming. He thought you would celebrate his excuse and deem him innocent of all charges.

The man is a waste of air and space...he's a misogynist, a religious fanatic, has wasted taxpayer filing siuts to pad his own resume, and I believe that he's connected at the hip to McDonnell and his current legal problems!
I keep hoping that the Feds can nail both of them....
