Same-day voter registration available for Washington residents for Tuesday election
If you haven't registered to vote yet in Tuesday's general election, it's not too late. Earlier this year, the state of Washington began requiring same-day voter registration, which means you can register to vote and perform your civic duty on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
The deadline has passed to register online or by mail and also vote in Tuesday's election, but prospective voters can still register in person.
For King County residents, in-person registrations can happen at the King County Elections Office in Renton, the Elections Annex in downtown Seattle, or at a vote center, which include the King County Chinook building, Bellevue Library, Kenmore City Hall and Federal Way 320th Library. Voters who need help completing their ballots, such as people with disabilities, can also get it at one of the above locations.
Any 18-year-old U.S. citizen who is a legal resident of Washington state who is not disqualified due to a court order can register and vote by Tuesday.
