If you're thinking about moving to a different neighborhood in Seattle, you might want to steer clear of these areas, where rent has increased as much as 25% over last year.
A new study points to five Seattle neighborhoods that have experienced the steepest rent increases year over year.
Topping the list: Greenwood.
The average rent price for a one-bedroom apartment in Greenwood has increased by 25.57% from October 2018 to October 2019, with the average rent in the north Seattle neighborhood coming in at $2,021.60, according to the study by Rent.com.
Northgate also ranked as one of the neighborhoods with the highest rent increases, going up 24.66% over the past year. The average rent for a one-bedroom in Northgate is $1,818.65, according to the study.
