Free grab-and-go meals for kids are available at these Puget Sound schools
during coronavirus shutdown
Washington Governor Jay Inslee has ordered all K-12 schools to close from Tuesday, March 17 through Friday, April 24 to stop the spread of COVID-19. Students and children under 18 are eligible to receive breakfast and lunch free at the following times and locations.
Auburn
Auburn School District will serve breakfast from 8:30- 9:30 a.m. and lunch from 11:00-12:30 p.m. weekdays at every school site in the district. All students aged 1-18 are eligible to receive a meal. They do not have to attend the school of choice or be enrolled in the Auburn School District
Bainbridge
Bainbridge will make meals available beginning March 18 to all Bainbridge Island kids ages 2-18. Meals can be picked up (curbside) on weekdays between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. at the following schools:
Captain Johnston Blakely Elementary, 4704 Blakely Avenue Bainbridge Island.
Ordway Elementary School, 8555 Madison Avenue N, Bainbridge Island.
Captain Charles Wilkes Elementary School, 12781 Madison Avenue NEBainbridge Island.

No meal service will be available during the Spring Break, the week of April 6-10.
