Thurston County COVID-19 cases grow to 81 after one more case is announced Monday

Thurston County now has 81 confirmed cases of COVID-19 after an additional case was announced Monday afternoon.

The latest case is a man in his 60s, according to Thurston County Public Health and Social Services. The number of people who have either recovered or are recovering also inched higher to 68 on Monday from 67 on Sunday.

Other categories were unchanged: the county still has only one death tied to the disease and 13 people have been hospitalized.

Although a county spokesperson cautioned against drawing a conclusion about whether COVID-19 cases are slowing here, the county numbers appear to show that it is.
