Thurston County COVID-19 cases rise to 117 from 115

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 continue to grow in Thurston County, although at a much slower pace than some other areas of the state.

The latest to test positive were two men in their 40s and 50s, Thurston County Public Health and Social Services announced Thursday, which increased the overall total to 117 from 115 on Wednesday.

Of those 117 cases, one person has died and 108 have either recovered or are recovering, giving the county eight active cases of COVID-19. The two new cases give the county five so far this week.
