Malls, stores, and restaurants reopening Saturday around Washington

WASHINGTON - Several stores and restaurants around the Puget Sound region have announced they will reopen Saturday in response to Gov. Jay Inslee's approval to allow 14 counties to move forward in the governor's "Safe Start" reopening plan.

Pacific Place Mall in downtown Seattle announced Friday that they will open tomorrow for the first time since Gov. Inslee announced his Stay at Home Order in late March.

The mall says they have implemented new policies to protect the health of its employees and shoppers including signs placed throughout the mall to remind visitors that they must wear masks and practice social distancing as well as increased frequencies in cleaning of common areas including door handles, handrails, storerooms, elevators, and escalators.

The South Hill Mall in Puyallup also announced that they will be open to shoppers on Saturday. While the mall itself it is open, according to the mall's website some stores and restaurants may be opening at a later date. Many of the mall's store's are also offering curbside pickup.
