Stare-down over: SPD removes barricades blocking roads along East Precinct

SEATTLE -- For the first time in 11 days, the stare-down between Seattle Police and demonstrators outside SPD's East Precinct headquarters on Capitol Hill was over.

Seattle police removed the barricades Monday that had been blocking the protestors from marching in the area, and have scaled back their footprint in the neighborhood.

That allowed demonstrators to make their voices heard right outside SPD's front door Monday night.

The crowd was described as still energized but more hopeful than contentious.
