Kitchen retailer Sur la Table sold for $89M

Kitchen goods retailer Sur La Table Inc. has been sold for nearly $89 million to a joint venture between e-commerce business CSC Generation and Marquee Brands LLC, the highest bidder at a bankruptcy auction.

A hearing to approve the sale of the Seattle-based retailer is scheduled for today in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Trenton, New Jersey.

The new owners plan to keep at least 50 of the chain’s approximately 130 stores open, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The company filed for voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy in July and announced it had entered into a stalking-horse agreement with affiliates of Fortress Investment Group working in partnership with STORY3 Capital Partners.

...Glad to see they are doing well.

On another note regarding Seattle based biz...REI is going all virtual. Im sure there will be lots of openings for work at home jobs all over the country. My sister was working for them in Puyallup when Covid hit and she was immediately told to work from home and its worked out very well. If anyone knows of someone who has lost their job due to Covid this might be a good place to apply. These kinds of jobs dont come up too often. 15$ to start I think...

Sis says no drug testing and a great discount...
