New Boeing Dreamliner rolls out of South Carolina factory -- then needs a tow
When Boeing recently announced it would shift 787 Dreamliner production from Everett to South Carolina in 2021, some aerospace observers pointed out the facility's reputation for producing jets that are less than perfect.
The Chicago-based jet maker has repeatedly downplayed concerns about the factory, but it has been hit with fines. As consolidation of Dreamliner production nears, the world's eyes are going to be glued on the North Charleston factory.

An airplane spotter, identified as Devin, was near the factory Monday to capture photos of the delivery of a fifth 787-10 jet to Saudia Airlines.
But the jet didn't make it far. The Dreamliner was stranded on the runway for about 45 minutes before being towed back into the Boeing area because of an unspecified mechanical issue with the massive $338 million, 326-seat widebody jet.
