Expedia Group begins third wave of layoffs in 2020

Seattle-based Expedia Group is in the midst of its third round of layoffs this year. Employees began receiving notices on Monday.

The latest round is focused on the company's Travel Partners Group, which encompasses business lines like hotels, car rentals, activities and corporate travel branch Egencia.

Expedia Travel Partners Group President Cyril Ranque sent an email Monday announcing changes within the group, an Expedia spokesperson confirmed. A copy of the email was obtained by Skift, a travel industry media company.

The message said that layoffs would commence over the next couple of weeks, according to a former Expedia employee who was laid off and asked to remain anonymous.

I still see hiring adverts for them, but I would never consider that place until our economy is WAY better.
