NHL's Seattle Kraken signs multiyear TV broadcast rights deal

The National Hockey League's Seattle Kraken said Tuesday the club has signed a multiyear agreement with the Root Sports regional sports network to be the expansion franchise's television broadcast partner when the team skates this fall.

Under the five-year deal, Root Sports will televise approximately 75 of the Seattle Kraken’s 80 regular season games, both at home, inside the $1 billion refurbished Climate Pledge Arena, and on the road, the two companies said.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but such agreements help hockey clubs generate multimillion dollar revenue streams.

Root Sports will offer NHL hockey game coverage to Kraken fans in five states, including Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Montana and Idaho, and will broadcast all Kraken regional games not selected for national broadcast.

tossed around. Both Washington boys. Oshie is getting old, but he's good and a big hitter.
