Related: About this forumSo how is everyone surviving the snow?
I for sure thought I would lose power. But it looks like we will get through it easier than I thought. It's cold out there though. I have well over a foot in the hills of Snohomish and the cars are stuck in the driveway. I have an acre of dtiveway to get to the road so we aren't going anywhere. Waste management won't be picking up tomorrow and my full circle CSA box is delayed till Sat. SO walked down and mail was delivered both yesterday and today! Gotta love the Post Office

(6,530 posts)I've never seen that descriptor before!
Easy commute this morning, but I left at 5, when there was really just a dusting. The afternoon commute was slow and slushy. I'm worried about the morning; it'll be icy, and I live at the bottom of a hill.
Meantime, though, the power is on, the woodstove is toasty, and it's past bedtime. (I know it's only 915 but I have to get up at 4!)
Be safe!

(10,642 posts)about 5 mins. before the mail got here...and she was earlier than usual! I'm by Lake Union and we got about 5-6". No cars going up my hill and only a few coming down. I'm really glad I've got a garage. Saw a guy walk by carrying skis and another one with a snowboard...some kids with sleds. Too cold for me!

(51,907 posts)I've been having trouble with the software on my inkjet, and the last reboot attempt just didn't work. The power outage rebooted it!

(53,661 posts)My retired union family members back in the day, when we came back from work in the afternoons, hailed us with 'Here comes the working class!'
I hope all of you still out in this doing the much needed things you all do, get back and forth safely and without incident.
And that your homes stay dry and warm. Take care.

(29,098 posts)It seems the minute it stopped snowing our power went. PUD isn't great with giving updates but apparently a crew was assigned to our area. But that was about 12 hours ago
