Chad Wheeler no longer with Seahawks after being charged with beating girlfriend

KENT, Wash. (KOMO) — Former Seahawks offensive lineman Chad Wheeler was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence assault Friday after police say he choked his girlfriend, dislocated her arm and smashed in her face after she refused to bow to him.

Wheeler made his first court appearance Wednesday. He was charged with first-degree domestic violence assault, domestic violence unlawful imprisonment and resisting arrest.

A judge set his bail at $400,000. King County prosecutors asked that Wheeler be placed on house arrest with a GPS ankle monitor.

In a statement Wednesday, the Seahawks announced that Wheeler is a free agent and no longer with the team.

and the NFL would have been perfectly ok with it if the video hadn't got out into the public. They had already swept it under the rug and corrupted the judicial system with their efforts.

I think it has gotten better, but the NFL fixer (many times an off duty cop) still shows up early (sometimes beating the dispatched officers to the scene).
