Seattle Storm will allow limited number of fans to attend home games this season

The Seattle Storm are geared up to defend their WNBA title at the home opener on May 15 against the Las Vegas Aces. And for the first time in over a year, fans will be allowed to attend the game.

Following new state and WNBA guidelines for indoor events, the team announced Wednesday that 2,000 fans will be allowed into Everett's Angels of the Winds Arena. Tickets for the first four games will be made available exclusively to Storm 360 members.

"It has been over a year and a half since our loyal fans have had the chance to cheer on their team. We could not be more to excited to welcome fans back to Angel Of The Winds Arena," said Storm President and CEO Alisha Valavanis in a news release. "This is a special 2021 WNBA season as we come back together for live sports, defend our championship and celebrate the 25th anniversary of the league."

There will be a vaccinated only section at the game, and fans in that designated area will sit in pods three feet apart. Tickets will also be available for a smaller unvaccinated section with a distance of six feet between fans. Face masks will still be required for all guests over the age of 2.
